The Berlin Gallery Weekend is as diverse & multi-faceted as the perpetually growing culture of this incredible city. On one side you have the Champagne, black scarves & six-digit price tags on pieces of art, on the other side & what we would like to focus on is the creative exchange between resident artists, workshops & gatherings at eye-level.

Celebrating its 6th anniversary STATTBAD Berlin will host a long weekend filled with various artistic positions, workshops and performances – which will deliver insight into ingenious processes and artistic techniques, and gives the audience the opportunity to get in touch with both, the arts and the artists.

OPEN WALLS Gallery
ALIAS returns with his first solo show in Berlin after five years „Fragments“. It’s still this very intimate moment of vulnerability that marks every subject of his artistic universe and even in his studio works – for which he often uses different untransformed recycled materials – it’s the roughness of the streets that speaks to the beholder, telling stories that reach beyond the artist and his creation.
Thomas von Wittich presents „Unseen“ a black and white series of intimate portraits from urban artists. Kindly supported by System of Arts.

Statt Lab
Everyone with a soft spot for screenprints is invited to not only visit the exhibition by non-profit artist collective Statt Lab- which basically serves as a open laboratory, workplace and creative playground for national and international artists – but to get a taste about the actual process during the “Print As You Go” workshop.

Transistors Of Mercy
The Gallery Weekend is completed by an eight hour long performance & installation that will be flooding the former men’s swimming pool at Stattbad with lights and electro acoustic drone waves.
